It's July... this month is a bit long as there are 5 weekends this year... it's nothing, I just don't know what to write today ;)

I've posted some items at Etsy. You can find the link at the lower right portion of this blog. I'll be posting some more, hopefully before July ends :)

I've been busy lately, with my day job. I really don't want to write about it 'cause it makes me unhappy :(

Anyway, we will be going back to MAAD this August. Stay tuned for the details. It will be a new experience for everybody. So excited ^-^

new stocks at barefoot

We've placed new designs at the barefoot store at ion orchard. There are four (4) new designs for the small journal. We've also included the woven journal. Each piece is handmade.

Earth Day 2011

Come join us this Friday, 22nd of April, to celebrate Earth Day. It's an Earth Day celebration organized by Ground-Up Initiative (GUI) and will be held at the Bottle Tree Park, Yishun, Singapore.

This event aims to promote the following:

• Educate the public on environmental initiatives and lifestyles.
• Inspire the public to make behaviour changes and play a part in sustainable living.
• Build social capital towards a more gracious and cohesive society.

Hello everyone!

How did you celebrate the Earth Hour yesterday? For us, we went out to watch the stars. It really helped that there were a lot of people who turned off their lights 'cause we were able to really see the stars ;) Hope everyone will really go beyond the hour...

I've been busy making friendship bracelets lately. I'm hoping I can sell all these and donate all the proceeds to the Singapore Red Cross for their relief effort on the Japan Disaster.

Earth Hour 2011

It's Earth Hour once again! This time it is encouraging everyone to go beyond the hour. Ask your self what can you do (as an individual) to help... it may not be a grand thing, just small little things that can add up to what others are doing... hope you can do your part and help the Earth... it's the only one we have :)

March 2011 events

Hello everyone!

First of all, thanks to everyone who dropped by MAAD last weekend. We will be taking a short rest from MAAD so you won't be seeing us there next month. For the meantime, if you need something, you may send me an email at karitonko@yahoo.com.

This weekend, 12-13 March 2011, we will be back at Iluma Arts Market. Do drop by and support us in this event. It will be from 12 noon to 9 pm.

Yeah, I know it's late. I won't be giving excuses for the late posting 'cause I have a lot :( But still you can still catch us at the red dot museum tomorrow, Feb 13 (Sun). We'll be there from 11am to 6pm. Still have time to shop for Valentine's Day.

Heal the Earth 2011

We would like to invite you this Sunday, 23rd of January 2011, at the Marina Barrage. It will be from 9am up to 5pm.

HEAL THE EARTH 2011 is organized with the belief that everyone should step forward and hold the responsibility of healing this earth; walking our thoughts, together we can make the difference. This event was organized by GreenTree Packaging.

Here is a great opportunity for everyone to take part in an environmental awareness event. 1372 designs support this event and we hope that you take time to see what this is all about.

Welcome 2011!!!

Happy 2011!

This is my first post for the year and I don't know what to say ;) Guess, I still need more rest. It has been a tiring but happy December for us. Tiring because for 3 weekends, we joined craft fairs. Happy because a lot of people appreciated our products and that means more sales :) 'Twas a very nice experience in ending the year.

This weekend, 8 & 9 January 2011, we will be at MAAD. As mentioned in my previous post, we have some new designs for our journals as well as a new size. It's so cute you won't want to write on it :P

Here are some of the activities in MAAD:

Iluma Arts Market

We'll be back to the Iluma Arts Market this Saturday, 18 December 2010. We have new designs for the journals as well as a new size. We call it the 'mini' journal. MAAD-out @ The Peranakan Museum

How time flies, it's the first weekend of November and it only means that we will be at MAAD again.

10.10.10 event

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Bottle Tree Park on 10th October 2010. It was such a fun experience, very informative. I hope that there will be more events like that in Singapore. I salute the organizers, Ground-Up Initiative, for initiating the event. More power and keep the spirit...

We were invited by a group of students from the National Junior College to exhibit at an event to create awareness on the importance of eco-friendliness. It will be held at the following address:

Hi everyone!!!

First of all, let me thank everyone who dropped by last weekend at MAAD. Hope to see you again next month. Here is the only photo I took, sorry as it is a bit dark as there is no flash (I only used my iPhone to take this photo).

What's special with October? First, it's 2 months before December (a.k.a Christmas), the season of sharing. It's our favorite season :) Everybody seems very happy during this time. Back home in Manila, the Christmas season starts in September, the first 'ber' month (got it?). Many families setup the Christmas tree at their home at the month of September. Here in Singapore, we usually setup on the first week of December. If I setup in September, they might mistook it for Hari Raya. If I setup in October/November, people might think it is for Deepavali. So I'll settle for December so there'll be a distinction with the other occasions.

Another reason is 10/10 (10 October 2010). Are you aware that there is a movement called 10:10 wherein the aim is to cut carbon emissions by 10% each year? If you want to know more about this cause, you may read all about it in 10:10 global. Locally, it is supported by Ground-Up Initiative (GUI). You can check them out here.

In connection with this, there will be a local event called "Balik Kampung @ Bottle Tree Park". It will be on Sunday, 10 Oct 2010, from 8:30am to 5pm at Bottle Tree Park (Yishun). It is a 10-min walk from Khatib MRT station. For more information, you may check out the website here.

Hello there!!!

I'm trying out a new template as I want to organize this blog.

Some quick update: we did not join MAAD on August and September but was able to join the MAAD gang last Aug-20 to Aug-22 at the Singapore Art Museum. We were part of the Singapore Heritage Fest 2010. We had a great time as well as made some new friends. I'll be posting some pictures later. My Powerbook is sick :( hence I cannot upload some pictures...
